The lecture notes are available (UW only) as Acrobat Reader PDF files (also available as postscript files and as zipped files).

Scope of the course: study of multipulsed, multinuclear, and multidimensional NMR spectroscopy; emphasis on the vector and product operator formalisms for the analysis of modern pulse sequences.

Course format: (2 credits) lecture and discussion; grades to be based on participation and problem sets.

Topics to be covered:

Prerequisites: introductory NMR (e.g. organic chemistry), basic trigonometry, elementary physics, and physical chemistry.

Course materials: lecture_notes and literature articles.
