NMRFAM is updating the mail system. As part of that effort, we have moved to Mailman software for managing NMRFAM electronic mailing lists. The following link will take you the a list of the NMRFAM mailing lists.

Mailing lists 101

A mailing list is a group of email addresses that can all be reached by sending a message to one address: the list address. Mail sent to that address is redistributed to all subscribers. Subscribers can have a discussion by sending messages to the list address; each message will be distributed to all the list’s subscribers. We are using Mailman, the GNU Mailing List Manager software (Mailman FAQ).

Mailing lists at NMRFAM:

The following mailing lists are maintained by NMRFAM. These lists may be used for the communication with different groups of users. To post to a list, send an email to the address (e.g. nmr-users@lists.nmrfam.wisc.edu)

enews@lists.nmrfam.wisc.edu
The NMRFAM e-News is a monthly mailing for our current and potential users reminding them of the deadline for requesting NMR spectrometer time. The NMRFAM e-News will also keep you informed about the NMR facility and will include news on the advances in hardware, software, and research projects at NMRFAM. To subscribe or unsubscribe to this list, point your browser to lists.nmrfam.wisc.edu/mailman/listinfo/enews.

nmr-users@lists.nmrfam.wisc.edu
Use this list to disseminate information to users of the NMRFAM NMR spectrometers, e.g. updates to the posted schedules, urgent news pertaining to the operation of the NMR instruments, etc.
To subscribe or unsubscribe to this list, point your browser to lists.nmrfam.wisc.edu/mailman/listinfo/nmr-users

nmr-hardware@lists.nmrfam.wisc.edu
Use this list to report problems with the NMRFAM NMR spectrometers, e.g. malfunctioning hardware or data acquisition software, etc. Do not use this list to disseminate general information, like pulse width calibrations etc. In addition to reporting instrument problems to the nmr-hardware list, you may want to post your observations in the NMRFAM electronic log books.
To subscribe or unsubscribe to this list, send email to lists.nmrfam.wisc.edu/mailman/listinfo/nmr-hardware

lab@lists.nmrfam.wisc.edu
A closed, internal list.

emergencies@lists.nmrfam.wisc.edu
A mechanism for alerting the NMRFAM staff of problems at the facility.
