Service and Collaborations

Service and collaborations

  • Provide to qualified users low-cost access to its NMR instrumentation, either by direct use on site or remote use with samples sent in advance.
  • Provide external access to its servers that process and analyze NMR data, its metabolomics database, and software packages.
  • Continue to consult with potential users to evaluate feasibility and design projects.

NMRFAM supports routine data collection on Submitted Samples as described in the policy statement. However, NMRFAM emphasizes the development of cutting-edge scientific projects of high biological impact that utilize and drive its Technology Research and Development (TR&D) emphasis areas.

NMRFAM offers informal advice on the feasibility of projects and experimental design through e-mail or phone contact with an NMRFAM staff member (Directory). Initial collection of routine data for new projects to check on the feasibility of a project is available with no commitment toward collaboration. However, if the project is to go forward, the user must either supply a person to collect and analyze the data (Independent Service) or establish collaboration with a specified NMRFAM staff member (NMRFAM Scientific Collaboration). NMRFAM Scientific Collaborations are prioritized on the basis of their biomedical importance and compatibility and ability to drive the TR&D areas of research at NMRFAM.
