* Develop an efficient platform for the screening of small molecule binding to proteins and nucleic acids.
TR&D 2: NMR investigations of the structure and dynamics of complex and challenging systems
* Continue to develop approaches for NMR analysis of larger proteins, protein complexes, and membrane proteins
* Continue to develop approaches for RNA molecules and protein-RNA complexes
* Continue to develop NMR and computational chemical approaches for diamagnetic and paramagnetic proteins
TR&D 3: Metabolomics and natural products
* Continue to develop a platform consisting of a spectral database and tools for spectral processing and analysis for high-throughput identification and quantification of metabolites present in biological fluids and extracts of cells and tissues.
* Develop a platform that combines liquid chromatography and mass spectrometric analysis with NMR analysis that can be used to elucidate the structures of novel metabolites and natural products.
* Continue to develop collaborative projects aimed at translational applications of its metabolomics platform.
