NMRFAM has been developing an experiment management system for biomolecular NMR to organize the design and execution of experiments. A series of modules of the Sesame System are now available for public examination and use. An ever evolving system, more Sesame modules are on the way.
NMRFAM has also been collaborating with BMRB in developing self-defining data exchange formats for biomolecular NMR. The NMR-STAR data format has been released, and software tools for manipulating NMR-STAR files (as well as STAR, CIF, and mmCIF files) are available from BMRB (select “Tools” from the left-hand frame). NMR-STAR is in use by a number of software developers:
We will be happy to assist other software developers who wish to adopt this standard. Please contact: Eldon Ulrich (elu@bmrb.wisc.edu)
