October 2009 time requests
This announcement is to remind you that September 19th @ 4pm is the deadline for requesting spectrometer time in October 2009 at NMRFAM.
Recent developments:
- Visit our website @ www.nmrfam.wisc.edu and check the News on the right side.
- The 13C/15N direct observe cryogenic probe has been installed on Kerry (500I)- a 500 MHz Bruker Avance III with Samplejet. The signal-to-noise for 13C is 1400:1 (ASTM) and for 15N 80:1 (formamide). It is still suitable for 1H observation (S/N 1600:1 Ethylbenzene). This spectrometer is available for users.
- A Bruker Avance III 600 MHz LC-MS-NMR and a 700 MHz NMR spectrometer are on order. They are expected to be delivered early 2010. The 600 MHz spectrometer will have a LC-MS system for characterization and isolation of metabolites and natural products and will be delivered with 5mm 1H{13C/15N/31P} and 1.7mm 1H{13C/15N} cryogenic probes. The 700 MHz instrument will have a 5mm 1H{13C/15N/31P} cryogenic probe. Both systems will have SampleJet sample changers.
- See the YouTube videos describing rNMR, the new small molecule visualization and quantification tool.
